A black smiling woman wearing glasses and a black-and-white patterned sweater, holds a large light blue speech bubble sign that reads, "Here to help delete blood cancers and disorders". The DKMS logo is visible at the bottom of the sign.

A Truly Global Mission

Every life matters - no matter where.

Every red dot on the map reflects our commitment to giving more patients access to stem cell transplants, no matter where they live. With operations in Europe, the Americas, and Asia, DKMS is a truly global organization. Through partnerships, local infrastructure, and international support programs, we work across borders to deliver second chances at life where they are needed the most.

A heartwarming story of Chirag & Roman

From Münsingen, Germany to Bengaluru, India - a stem cell donation created an unbreakable bond between two strangers. In 2016, Roman, a young donor from Germany, was identified as a match for Chirag, then just 9 years old. Eight years later, the two met for the first time in India. Their story is a testament to the global mission of DKMS, bringing hope across borders, one second chance at life at a time.

"Words cannot express how thankful I am… He didn’t just give me stem cells, he gave me a future."

- Chirag, 17, thalassemia survivor from India

They have their arms around each other, posing for the photo in a green, outdoor setting.
"There’s no greater joy than knowing you’ve helped someone in need."

Our Three Pillars

Our efforts to give as many blood cancer patients as possible a second chance at life are based on three pillars.
