We are the most significant nonprofit organization in the world to fight blood cancer and other blood disorders. Since our foundation in Germany in 1991, we have been working tirelessly to increase the number of potential stem cell donors worldwide. Today, we manage the world's largest and most diverse stem cell donor registry - helping to match blood cancer patients with donors for a lifesaving stem cell transplant. For many patients, finding their genetic twin is the only chance of survival.
Unfortunately, the probabilities of finding a matching donor are not evenly distributed around the world. Leaving no stone unturned in our mission and to save as many blood cancer patients as possible, we have extended our global footprint and scope of activities. Our goal is to find a matching donor for every patient, improve access to transplantation for patients in need and advance research and development for better patient outcomes.
